When this Oakville homeowner moved to Missouri from Nevada, he brought along something special — his passion for vintage vehicles. Classic cars, polished chrome, timeless lines. He knew exactly what he wanted in his new home: a clean, beautiful, protected place worthy of storing and showcasing his collection.

But when he stepped into the 4-car basement garage on the backside of the house, reality set in.

“The cars will love it here,” he said.
“The floor? …not so much.”

The Problem: Peeling Paint, Mystery Gouges, and a Very Steep Driveway

The garage floor had clearly lived a previous life. The old paint was peeling in sheets, and the concrete was marked with deep gouges and scars — from what? We may never know. Forklift mishap? Overzealous jack stands? A spirited burnout gone wrong? Some mysteries are better left unsolved.

As if the floor itself wasn’t enough of a challenge, the garage presented another obstacle.

This was a basement garage, tucked behind the home and accessed by a steep driveway that transitions abruptly to a flat landing. When we attempted to back our trailer down — something we do on most installs — gravity quickly informed us that this was not most installs.

➡️ The trailer couldn’t make the transition.

So we parked on the steep drive and carried everything down by hand.

Because when a classic-car enthusiast wants a dream garage, we don’t let a hill stand in the way.

The Solution: A Classic Look for a Classic Collection

Once everything was in place, our team got to work restoring and elevating the space.

We began by:

  1. Grinding off all the peeling paint
  2. Repairing gouges and surface damage
  3. Preparing the concrete for maximum adhesion

For the finish, the homeowner chose our Domino full-chip system — a timeless blend of black, white, and subtle gray tones.

Domino is a classic for a reason. Its clean, high-contrast look is reminiscent of vintage workshops, classic car showrooms, and old-school service bays. It doesn’t chase trends — it honors tradition. In this garage, it felt like a perfect homage to the classics parked inside.

We completed the install with our CycloSpartic polyurea base coat, a full broadcast of Domino chip, and a durable, UV-stable clear topcoat.

The Result: A Four-Car Garage Worthy of the Classics

When the floor cured, the transformation was immediate.

The once tired, damaged surface became a sleek, showroom-style garage floor — clean, bright, and built to last. The Domino chip pattern reflected light beautifully, enhanced the space, and gave the garage a timeless, professional feel.

“This is exactly what I wanted,” the homeowner said.
“Now the garage finally matches the cars.”

The vintage vehicles now have a home that respects their legacy — a garage that feels intentional, polished, and ready for decades of enjoyment.
